The more people who knock Declan the better he will get. He is a decent player who will get better with experience and I'd rather people have a bit of a dig than pat him on the back so he keeps working and improving which any young player needs to do.

Charlie is about right, people going OTT with Rice at the moment. I’m not sure if it is helpful. Having said that Capital Man is also right, it would be good if people would just leave Rice a lone and let the kid develop.

Regarding Rice I will rely on the judgement of two people, Pellegrini and Southgate, to guide my opinion of him as a player.
